Barcelona Casa Forma Atelier

Mediterranean-Modern Interior Architecture

We unite the raw tectonic honesty of Catalan limestone, earthen terracotta, and centuries-old olive timber with sculptural contemporary restraint. From Sarrià-Sant Gervasi to the cliffs of Costa Brava, our spaces breathe with the sea and the sun.

Studio Methodology

The Mediterranean Ecological Metric

True luxury does not reside in polished gloss or disposable synthetic finishes. Our Barcelona atelier executes projects governed by thermal mass, breathability, and endemic craftsmanship.

01

Vapour-Permeable Envelopes

We replace synthetic latex paints and moisture-trapping membranes with traditional Roman-formula slaked lime (cal grasa) and pozzolanic micro-plasters. This regulates coastal interior humidity naturally without electrical dehumidification loads.

02

Passive Solar Shading & Pergola Invariants

Utilizing the exact 41.38°N solar azimuth of the Catalan coastline, our brise-soleils and timber cantilevers block 92% of aggressive July afternoon thermal gains while inviting low winter sunshine deep into stone-tiled living quarters.

03

Hyper-Local Geologic Extraction

By sourcing stone within a 250-kilometre radius—Campaspero from Valladolid, Ulldecona from Tarragona, and Santanyí from the Balearics—we preserve low embodied carbon and ensure surfaces gracefully age under marine UV exposure.
